ABOUT THE SCREWFLO™ BOTTLE
The idea of a disposable water-bottle mouthpiece was conceptualized with the hopes of allowing customers to discard parts at their leisure, eliminating all potential worries for sanitation. The design of the bottle seeks to address this issue with a detachable Mouthpiece and Cap, both of which can be replaced to eliminate such worry, whilst the other components need only be interchanged to suit different styles and purposes.
In addition, attachments are also fitted to utilize the top and inside of the bottle, further diversifying options. When pondering the product name, the design team thought of the bottle's features and aptly named it – ScrewFlo™ – poking fun at its multitude of interlocking threads that piece the bottle together.

The Senior Design team, ASME-1, was tasked with fabricating a design that is more cost-efficient and utilizes 3D printing to its fullest extent. The team must then execute their design through the use of 3D CAD Design Software – Solidworks. After verifying its durability with virtual simulation, the product must be printed using an Objet 30 Pro 3D Printer, and physically verified to ensure its virtual counterparts bear resemblance.
To appeal to a wider set of audiences, the ASME-1 Team conceptualized the Screwflo™ bottle, seeking to solve the current sanitation issues of reusable water bottles, without the need of constant replacement that current products necessitate.
At this point in time, the scope of this project only allows the fabrication of one basic bottle design. However, the concepts will still be available for viewing so current consumers can comment which they feel would be best for the Screwflo™ future.
